Summers at the Spaulding & Daniels house were spent building rockets at the Illinois Institute of Technology, completing archaeological digs at the Field Museum, dissecting sharks at the Shedd Aquarium and testing the waters of Lake Michigan for bacteria levels.
The Intellectual Practice Program wants to offer Chicago students similar opportunities through its 1st Science Fair. This will be an opportunity for students to perfect the projects that they submitted for the 2013-2014 school year. And, even if your child doesn’t have an opportunity to participate at their school because they are too young or happen to miss school on that day, we still want to invite them out to learn more about science and explore new possibilities.
We are just getting warmed up and haven’t worked out all of the details yet, but still wanted to give you a heads up so that your child can be ready. For more information about the Intellectual Practice Program, please click HERE.
•Cost for the submission of projects will be free
•Cost of admission for students without projects will be $7
•Cost of admission for adults will be $10
Proceeds from this event will be used to fund programs of the Jeune Hope Chicago Initiative. Click HERE to purchase event tickets.
